One of India's most cherished holidays, particularly in Mumbai, the city of dreams, is the magnificent Ganesh Chaturthi festival. You can proceed to enjoy the holy celebration after eating breakfast. According to the Hindu calendar, the festival is observed for 11 days, beginning on the fourth day of the month of Bhadrapada. The celebration is held in honour of Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity. In a custom known as visarjan, the idol of Lord Ganesha is submerged in water at the conclusion of the celebration after being worshipped in a temple or pandal. A variety of sweets, flowers, rice, and other items are offered to the deity. During this celebration, modak, a popular confection that is thought to be the Lord's favourite, is available everywhere. The Maratha king Shivaji Raje was the one who first brought the event to Mumbai. This holiday was celebrated with the intention of getting people of all religions together to resist British authority. Lalbaugcha Raja in Central Mumbai is a good place to see Ganesh Chaturthi in Mumbai. You will be astounded by the statue's enormous size. In addition, you can travel to South Mumbai to see Khetwadi Ganraj. Here, Ganjesh idols are thought to be the most exquisite, frequently adorned with jewels and gold.
