Overview Itinerary Includes Hotels

You are welcome to attend the Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour - Walking in The Footsteps of The Buddha hosted in India and Nepal starting in New Delhi, India, to learn and practice The Teachings of The Buddha by seeing the original sites associated to the lifetime of The Buddha. You will be accompanied by a dedicated Practitioner and Teacher of The Teachings of The Buddha (David Roylance) who will guide you in visiting the original sites of The Buddha connected to his lifetime along with optional group meditations, interactive group discussions, and you will be able to connect with an international Community of Practitioners while integrating these Teachings into your life practice along the journey. This trip and retreat focuses on aiding Students in creating a solid foundation in comprehending the original places associated to the lifetime of The Buddha while understanding the progression of his life and Teachings. The Teachings and practices of Gotama Buddha (i.e. The Buddha) will be shared along the path to assist you move towards Enlightenment where the mind will be tranquil, quiet, serene, and happy with joy - permanently. At the completion of this tour and retreat, Students will have gained a deep appreciation for The Buddha through personally engaging with the sights from his lifetime while learning his Teachings along the journey to enrich your life.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL DELHI (BY FLIGHT) (NO MEAL)

Welcome. Upon arriving at Delhi airport, you will be met and assisted by our staff. Then, you will be transferred to the Hotel. You will spend the night at the Hotel in Delhi.
DAY 2 : DELHI – AGRA (B/L/D)

After Breakfast at the Hotel then, travel to Agra (4 HR, 200 KM) and & transfer to the; after lunch at the Hotel, visit the world-famous Taj Mahal (it’s closed every Friday) built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his Empress Mumtaj Mahal. The building was reported to have taken 22 years to complete, with over 20,000 craftsmen working around the clock. After sightseeing the Taj Mahal, visit the majestic Agra Fort erected on the bank of the Yamuna River. It is situated in the center of the town, and the evening is free for shopping /own activities. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Agra.
DAY 3: AGRA – LUCKNOW – VIA SANKASIA (B/L/D)

After Breakfast, drive to Lucknow. En route, visit Sankasia, where the Lord descended from heaven after giving a sermon to his mother 7 years after her death. After lunch, drive to Lucknow. On arrival, check in at the Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel in Lucknow.
DAY 4: LUCKNOW – SRAVASTI (B/L/D)

After Breakfast, drive to Sravasti, check in at the Hotel, and after lunch, Visit Sravasti, where Buddha spent his 24 monsoons. Visit Jetvana and Ananda Bodhi Tree. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel in Sravasti.
DAY 5 : SRAVASTI – LUMBINI (B/L/D)

After Breakfast, head for the Lumbini route, visit Kapilvastu - where Buddha’s boyhood was spent & and explore the ruins of the Palaces. Drive Lumbini (Nepal). After lunch, Visit Lumbini, the Birthplace of Lord Buddha. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Lumbini.
DAY 6 : LUMBINI - KUSHINAGAR (B/L/D)

After Breakfast, leave for Kushinagar. On arrival, check in at the Hotel. After lunch, visit Mahaparinirvana and Rambhar Stupa (the cremation location of Lord Buddha), Japan Temple. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel in Kushinagar.
DAY 7 : KUSHINAGAR – VAISHALI – PATNA (B/L/D)

After Breakfast, proceed to Patna and, en route, visit Vaishali. Lunch will be at the neighborhood eatery on arrival. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel in Patna.

DAY 08: PATNA – NALANDA – RAJGIR – BODHGAYA (B/L/D)

After Breakfast, drive to Rajgir/Nalanda. Visit Nalanda University. After lunch visit Gridhkuta, Venuvanaram & Bimbisar jail. After the visit, drive to Bodhgaya. Dinner and overnight stay at a Hotel in Bodhgaya.
DAY 8 : BODHGAYA (B/L/D)

After Breakfast, take a morning tour of the Mahabodhi Temple and Bodhi Tree, the Great Buddha Statue, the Niranjana River, and the Sujata Temple across the Niranjana River. Lunch and dinner will be at the Hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Bodhgaya.
DAY 9 : BODHGAYA – VARANASI (B/L/D)

After Breakfast, drive for 6 hours to Varanasi. Check in at the Hotel. Later, Visit Sarnath, where Buddha delivered his first speech. In the evening, participate in the Pirith Ceremony. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel in Varanasi.
DAY 10 : BODHGAYA – VARANASI (B/L/D)

After Breakfast, drive for 6 hours to Varanasi. Check in at the Hotel. Later, Visit Sarnath, where Buddha delivered his first speech. In the evening, participate in the Pirith Ceremony. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel in Varanasi.
DAY 11: VARANASI – DELHI + DEPARTURE (B/L)

After Breakfast, drive to Varanasi airport to travel to Delhi. On arrival, transfer to City restaurant for lunch and timely transfer to Delhi airport for travel to further destination.
