Greetings from India! Once you arrive at the airport in Guwahati, take your
connecting flight to Aizawal. Our representative will help you get to the hotel
and assist you with check-in and room key while you are being briefed about the
tour and services. You will receive all the necessary paperwork along with a
travelling brief and be able to ask any questions you may have about the tour
and services. The remainder of the day is spent relaxing, dining, and spending
the night at the hotel.
After
breakfast, drive to Reiek Mountain, visit Mizo typical village (the State
Government has established Mizo typical village to showcase and implement Mizo
ethnic culture), hike to the summit (30 minutes of leisurely uphill trekking,
with a 360-degree view), have lunch at the Tourist Cafeteria and return to
Aizawl for dinner and overnight stay.
After an
early breakfast, head to Silchar, check into Hotel Borail View, have dinner and
spend the night there.
After an
early breakfast, travel to Khaspur, which is 20 km from Silchar and is home to
the ruins of a great Dimasa kingdom. The main attractions of Khaspur include
the Lion Gate, the Sun Gate, and the ancient king's temple. Dolu Lake is one of
Silchar's most beautiful lakes and a photographer's paradise; it's a peaceful
place to spend time with loved ones or alone. The Maniharan tunnel is a short
distance from Silchar and is a great tourist destination. Hindus believe that
the tunnel was built during the time of Lord Krishna and was used by him. After
dinner, you should head back to your hotel for the night.
After breakfast in the morning, check out and drive to Kailashahar. On the way there, you can see rock carvings and stone images from the 7th to 9th century; the name Unakoti means one digit less from a Core (Ten Million). Of particular interest are the pbbly walls, the giant Siva's head, and the thirty-foot-tall statue of Ganesha, the largest bas relief statue in India. After an
early breakfast, head to the 'Chouddo Devotar Mandir', also known as the temple
of 14 deities, located approximately 14 km from Agartala. It is dedicated to
Ama, also known as the mother of the Tripuran people, or Tripuri, and Lakhi
Narayan Bari, which is dedicated to Lord Krishna and was installed by
Krishnanada Sevayet. After dinner, head back to the hotel for the night.
After
breakfast, depart and drive to Agartala; upon arrival, check into the hotel;
after a refreshment, visit the Ujjayanta Palace, a must-see tourist destination
in Agartala, constructed by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya; Jagannath Temple,
one of the most revered temples in Agartala, is an architectural marvel that is
octagonal in shape and features an impressive pradhkshin path around the
sanctum
After
breakfast in the morning, drive to Udaipur, stopping along the way to see NeerMahal,
a water palace built by Emperor Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya as a summer resort
in 1930. NeerMahal is situated in the middle of a lake and occupies an area of
approximately 5.3 square km. This magnificent structure still reflects the
glory of the ancient era. In the afternoon, visit one of Udaipur's most
well-known temples, Tripura Sundari, also known locally as Matabari, the oldest
Hindu holy site in this region of Tripura state. Finally, drive to Agartala for
dinner and spend the night at the hotel.
After
breakfast today, head to the airport to board the scheduled flight to Imphal.
Once there, check into your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to do as you
want. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel are included.
After
breakfast today, visit Loktak Lake and Sendra Island, the nation's largest
freshwater lake, as well as Sendra Island, one of the state's most picturesque
attractions. Located approximately 50 km from Imphal, Loktak Lake is located in
the Imphal valley, which is home to all of the State of Manipur's rivers and
rivulets. Kangla Fort, also called the Palace of Kangla, is located on the
banks of the Imphal river and was the royal palace of King Pakhangba. After
breakfast, head back to the hotel for dinner and spend the night.
Today
after breakfast, proceed to Ukhrul, also called as the land of the Shiroy Lily,
check in on arrival. Ukhrul is a small hill station town north of Imphal.
Dominated by the Tangkhul Nagas. They have a rich culture. Each cultural
activity is centered on the propitiation of deity known as 'Kameo'. They have
their own traditional folk dance known as 'Pheichak'. Pheichak occupies an
important place in the lives of the Tangkhul. There are many forms of pheichak
and every pheichak depicts or expresses the live of the people. We will visit
Nungbi, which is famed for its black pottery. Dinner and overnight at the
hotel.Note: Ukhrul is a nice mixture of landscape and scenery with glimpses of
cultural expects. Dzukou valley, on the other hand is beautiful in terms of its
scenic landscapes; and mostly recommendable to guests who are highly interested
in trekking/hiking; in order to cover the same on this day, they will have to
drive from Imphal for about 3-4 hrs. The trek usually takes 4-5 hrs for
moderate walkers - it is always better that we start the trek in the early
morning hours.
After an
early breakfast, leave the hotel and travel to Kohima, Nagaland's capital. If
time permits, stop along the way to see the Kuki tribes', Mao Nagas', and
Southern Angami Nagas' tribal villages. Once there, check into a hotel for
dinner and spend the night.
After breakfast, drive to Khonoma village, which is known for its bravery and bravery. The Khonoma gate recounts the story of the British infiltration into Naga Hills. Return to Kohima and visit the State Museum (closed on Mondays). Later, visit the famous war cemetery, a symbolic memorial erected as a tribute to the men and officers of the Allied forces during World War II. In the evening, visit Emporium for ethnic crafts and souvenirs. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, drive to Touphema village, which is home to the Angami tribe, and stop by a nearby Rengma village. After lunch, drive to Mokokchung in north-central Nagaland, and stop by Mopinchuket village, which is near Mokochung and is well-known for its woodworking and crafts. Dinner and overnight stay at Mokokchung.
After breakfast, drive to Jorhat, where you will be transferred to a hotel. The day is then free for personal activities. Dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel are included.
Today
after breakfast, proceed towards Neemati Ghat. From here we will take a ferry
across the mighty river Brahmaputra to one of the biggest river islands in the
world and also the heart of the Assamese culture – Majuli. Here in Majuli, we
will be exploring this cultural place and the seat of Vaishnava culture in
Assam. The great 15th century Assamese reformer and saint, Shankardeva had come
down here and set up 'satras' or Vaishnavite monasteries to make the people
motivated towards culture and religion. We will be visiting these 'satras' and
interact with the monks and other locales there. Afternoon visit a tribal
village of the Mishing - the Mishing tribes migrated all the way down from the
hills of Arunachal Pradesh. They are found settled on the outer rim of this
island or near rivers and water bodies in general. Very good fisherman – they
are well known for their skill in navigation on the ever-changing sand banks of
the Brahmaputra. After visit return to Jorhat for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, head to Kaziranga National Park, a world heritage site that is spread across 858 sq. km. on both sides of the Brahmaputra and is home to two-thirds of the world's Great One-horned rhinoceros. The park is divided into five ranges: Central (entry point at Kohora), Western (entry point at Bagori), Eastern (at Agratoli), Western-most Burha Pahar (at Ghorakati), and Northern. The first four ranges are on the southern side of the river, while the last is on the northern bank. Nine of the 14 primate species found in South India, the purest breed of Asiatic water buffalo, and one of the largest herds of Asian elephants can be found there. In the evening, you can visit the Tea Garden, Orchid Garden, and Coffee Garden. Dinner and overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Go on an
elephant ride in the morning (if available) at 5 AM. Return to the hotel for
breakfast. After breakfast, go on a Jeep Safari in the Central Range. Have
dinner and spend the night there.
Early morning elephant ride in the park; transfer to Shillong; visit the sacred shrine of Maa Kamakhya, a well-known Hindu pilgrimage site; and then enjoy 'Umiam Lake' near Barapani; check into hotel upon arrival; Shillong gets its name from 'Leishyllong' - the Superpower or God who is thought to reside on the Shillong Peak overlooking Shillong City; the State of Meghalaya in general was once called the 'Scotland of the East. After
breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee, (1300 m) and its surroundings areas are
blessed with many breathtaking views of nature in her pristine beauty with cool
springs, mind soothing waves of thick green jungle foliage, gurgling mountain
streams finding their way through rocks, enthralling milky white waterfalls
leaping into deep gorges in a thunderous applause to the record-breaking
rainfall that resounds through the valley. During the monsoon months it is a
thrill to catch sight of nature in the prime of her beauty when the clouds lift
their mantle over her for fleeting moments. Cherrapunjee has the distinction of
being the wettest place on Earth, having the highest recorded rainfall, year
after year. The Caves of Cherrapunjee- Mawsmai and Mawmluh, are the longest
limestone caves in India, formed over 3500 years, a must go destination for
cavers and adventurists. Other attractions - Cherrapunjee View Point,
Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sister Falls and Eco Park Back to Shillong, Dinner and
overnight at Shillong.
After
breakfast, check out and drive to Guwahati; upon arrival, check into the hotel;
after refreshments, take a sightseeing tour of Guwahati, which includes the
Kamakhya temple, the Umananda temple, and the astronomical temple of Navagraha;
the evening is free to explore the local market; and spend the night in
Guwahati.
After
breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to the Guwahati airport to take a
scheduled aircraft for the next destination.
